Custom Alloy / Carbon Road bikes



I am currently building in addition to my custom leisure / commuter bikes and Off Road Bikes a series of flat handlebar and drop bar road bikes

Click on links below to see photos and specs for those previously built. Note that lately I have been building road bikes using alloy MTB frames with road wheels and carbon forks. These bikes down to 15 in frames are ideal for smaller riders eg; ladies and teenagers, the 17 in plus frames are ideal for average sised men. Note also that these MTB crosses have slightly relaxed gearing - ideal for long distance riding.

Custom road bike with --Outland drop bars, Alloy 61cm race frame, Carbon fork, handbuilt race wheels and road brakes. This bike built with a single 46 tooth chainring and 7 gears controlled with simple and lightweight pushbutton shifter fitted to top of drop bar.

A road bike built with a 19 in B1 Mason MTB frame, Carbon fork, handbuilt 700 wheels and road brakes. Gearing - Alivio mechs with Sram 24 spd trigger shifters. Chainring Mighty 44t/34t, cassette 11/28. Oversize FSA straight handlebar with bar ends. Cost £400

Custom road bike built with painted 16 in MTB frame, Carbon fork, entry level 700 wheels and road brakes. This bike was built for an average height lady, as the small MTB frame gives a low cost means of building a small frame road bike. The gearing is relaxed by using an MTB chainring which gives greater cycling range. Owner delighted by performance.
